Sezin Akbaşoğulları’nın güzelliği, gülüşü, gözleri, başka bir zamandan gelmiş gibi havası ve oyunculuğu yıllardır hayran olduğum özellikleriydi ama sesi ile karşılaşmam onun hakkında daha farklı kapılar açtı aklımda. Her filmi Türkiye’de çekilse, Scarlett Johansson yerine onun sesi olmalıydı mesela. Ya da duymayı istemediğim haberleri keşke hep onun sesinden alsam!
O yüzden geçen aylarda Podbee’nin “Derinden Sesler” işini duyunca hemen dinlemeye başladım. Kadro Sezin’le kalsa iyi. Yazarı Özge Satman B. Çok sevgili Ozan Açıktan yönetiyor bu “podcast dizisini” (Neden podcast tiyatrosu değil de dizisi denmiş diye çok düşündüm, cevap bulamadım). Serkan Keskin seslendirenler arasında ki ne yapsa izler, ne söylese dinleriz. Eh, Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu var, onun sesi de saatlerce dinlenir şimdi, kimse kusura bakmasın. Onur Ünsal da var, o da ayrı cevher. Ecem Uzun kısa bir rolle ve yine küçük rollerle Ali Seçkiner Alıcı ve Cem Özener oynuyor bu gerilim hikayesinde. İyi ki dinlemeye başlamışım dedim son bölüme gelince ve neden bu tarz daha fazla iş olmadığını sorguladım.
Sonra fark ettim ki Sezin Akbaşoğulları’nın çoğu işi insana bu soruyu sorduruyor “Neden daha fazla böyle iş yok”? Belki de iyi ki yok. Bu sayede onun ve işlerinin kıymetini daha iyi bilebiliyoruz!

Sezin Akbaşoğulları’s beauty, her smile, her eyes, that sense of belonging to another time, and her acting have long been qualities I admired. Yet encountering her voice opened entirely different doors in my mind. I found myself thinking that if every film were made in Turkey, it should be her voice we hear instead of Scarlett Johansson’s. Or that even the news I would rather not hear might feel bearable if delivered by her.
So when I came across Podbee’s Derinden Sesler a few months ago, I began listening without hesitation. The cast alone would have been reason enough. The script is by Özge Satman B. The project is directed by the ever compelling Ozan Açıktan, who brings a distinct sensibility to what is described as a podcast series. I found myself wondering more than once why it is called a series rather than a piece of audio theatre, though I never arrived at a clear answer. Serkan Keskin is among the voices, an artist whose work one follows with quiet devotion, whether on screen or through sound. Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu is there too, and his voice has a way of holding attention effortlessly. Onur Ünsal brings his own understated depth. Ecem Uzun appears in a brief role, alongside Ali Seçkiner Alıcı and Cem Özener, each contributing to the tension of the story in measured ways.
By the time I reached the final episode, I found myself grateful to have started and, inevitably, asking why there are not more works like this. It is a question that seems to follow many of Sezin Akbaşoğulları’s projects. Why are there not more of these?
Then it occurred to me that perhaps it is precisely their rarity that allows us to recognize their value so clearly.
