Bir yanda İstanbul’da gençlik döneminden itibaren tiyatro, dizi ve sinema sahnelerinde kendini kanıtlamış, güler yüzü, samimiyeti, her durumda dik ve zarif duruşu ile hayranlığımızı hep artıran Melisa Sözen, diğer yanda Balkan kökeninin getirdiği karizmayı, derinliği, oynadığı karakter rollerine aktarmış, işine saygısı ile bilinen Ertan Saban. Bu iki sevdiğimiz oyuncu, “Fer” dizisinde buluştu ama GAIN’in BKM imzalı yeni yapımı Fer, sadece ünlü oyuncuları bir araya getiren bir yapım değil. ‘90’lardan beri yönettiği kült dizilerle tanıdığımız Türkân Derya, Fer’in yönetmen koltuğunda. Oyunculuğunu çok sevdiğimiz, kalemi ile de daha sık karşılaşmak istediğimiz Devin Özgür Çınar ise dizinin senaristi.
“Fer”, sıradan görünen bir hayatın kırılma anlarının hikâyesi. İki çocuğu, ayrılmaya çalıştığı eşi, ailesi ve hepsinin arasında Dilek’in ekonomik çaresizliği, korsan taksicilik yaparak elde ettiği özgürlük kırıntıları, merakı, kız arkadaş desteğinin gücü ve taksisine aldığı iş adamı Şadi’nin gizemi… Hepsi bir araya gelerek bize, modern Türkiye’nin sokaklarından olması çok muhtemel bir hikaye sunuyor. İzleyici Dilek’in yalnızlığını, “kadınlığıyla” değil ama “hayatta kalma gücüyle” hissediyor. Ertan Saban ise taş plak gibi bir duruşla Şadi’yi canlandırıyor: sessiz, gizemli ama etkili, arka koltuktan bir bakışla etki bırakan bir karakter.
Bu diziyi duyduğum anda Melisa Sözen ve Ertan Saban ile sohbet etmek için heyecanımın doruğa çıkması kaçınılmazdı! Melisa Sözen stands as one of Istanbul’s most refined screen presences, an actress who has moved seamlessly between theatre, television and cinema since her early years, carrying with her a rare combination of warmth, composure and quiet strength. Alongside her, Ertan Saban brings a distinctly Balkan depth, his performances marked by restraint, intensity and an unwavering respect for craft.
The two meet in Fer, GAIN’s new BKM produced series, though the project extends far beyond the appeal of its leading names. Direction comes from Türkân Derya, whose work has shaped some of Turkey’s most memorable television since the 1990s, while the script is written by Devin Özgür Çınar, a performer whose voice as a writer proves equally compelling.
At its core, Fer traces the fracture lines within an apparently ordinary life. Dilek, balancing two children, a failing marriage and the weight of familial expectation, moves through economic precarity with a quiet, persistent resolve. Her sense of agency emerges through illegal taxi driving, offering fleeting moments of autonomy shaped by curiosity, female solidarity and the enigmatic presence of Şadi, a businessman who enters her car and alters its emotional gravity. The narrative feels inseparable from the texture of contemporary Turkey, grounded, immediate and unembellished. Dilek’s isolation is not framed through gender, but through endurance. Saban’s Şadi, by contrast, is defined by stillness, a composed and watchful figure whose presence lingers long after the briefest glance.
The prospect of bringing Sözen and Saban together in conversation carried an immediate sense of anticipation. That energy translated effortlessly. While Saban, momentarily absorbed in watching his child through a home camera, remained quietly observant, Sözen set the tone with disarming ease and laughter. What emerged was a conversation split in character: her lightness and spontaneity, his measured and reflective depth.
