Fotoğrafçı Tomas Hetmanek, 19. yüzyıla ait bir teknik olan ıslak plaka tekniği ile çalışıyor. Fotoğraflar büyük format kamera ile cam plakalar üzerine çekiliyor. Tomas hem cam plaka üzerine çekilen fotoğraflar hem de ıslak plaka negatifler üretiyor. Bu negatiflerin baskısını da salt print, cyanotype ve gum bichromate gibi geleneksel yöntemlere sadık kalarak yine kendisi yapıyor.
Tomas motivasyon ve ilhamını ise piktoryalist akımdan alıyor.

Photographer Tomas Hetmanek is a photographer using wet plate collodion, a 19th century technique. The photographs are taken with large format view camera on glass plates. Tomas is producing both ambrotypes and wet plate negatives, which he is later using in historically accurate printing techniques such as salt print, cyanotype and gum bichromate print.
Tomas’s, motivation and main inspiration comes from pictorialist movement.
